On February 28, 2013, bepartners presented in cooperation with White & Case and Luther the event "The AIFMD Directive in Luxembourg and Germany – Is Luxembourg the place to be?" at the Golf-Club Grand-Ducal in Luxembourg. Dr. Carsten Bödecker, Max Welbes, Harald Kuhn and Dr. Jan-Holger Arndt spoke on tax and regulatory issues regarding the AIFM Directive. The guests involved the panelists in a lively discussion regarding recent legal developments. Valuable insights were given by the special guest speaker, Arnold Ramackers, retired judge with the German Finance Court and former member of the Department for Capital Income and Investment Taxation at the German Ministery of Finance. Following interesting discussions and speeches, the participants had the chance to end the evening with drinks and a buffet.
